We do live in strange times—when Donald Trump is taken seriously, and Gina Rinehart is allowed to run an entire country for her own private benefit.

And there’s only one reason they exert any kind of influence: their wealth.

With an estimated net personal wealth of $29.3 billion, Rinehart has in recent years gone from being Australia’s richest woman to Asia’s richest woman to arguably the world’s. Read her story here [ht: ja]—but only before sitting down to eat.

    She’s quite a piece of work, to avoid any scatological references. What do they say about her in that island/country/continent of yours?

    There are three main groups: her “friends” are THIS-scared of her, so, either they don’t say much, at all, or shower her in praise; then, there are her 3 stranged children, who just ask for their inheritance money; finally, there are those who just watch over the fence.

    And there’s me and a few others. Me, if I’d say my opinion, I wouldn’t avoid scatological references.
