Eric Cantor (VA), the majority leader in the House of Representatives, released the following statement commemorating Labor Day [ht: sm]:
This Labor Day, too many of our friends and neighbors are out of work. Hard working families are struggling to make ends meet, college graduates can’t find good jobs and small businesses aren’t hiring. If we are to grow our economy and get Virginians back to work, we need to do everything we can to help our small businessmen and women succeed. Today, we celebrate those who have taken a risk, worked hard, built a business and earned their own success. I am committed to keeping taxes low and reducing red tape to make it easier for Virginia’s small business owners to start hiring again, create more jobs and ensure a thriving economy for the future so more people can achieve the American dream.
Only today’s Republicans could turn Labor Day into National Bosses Day. . .
